About Us

When Anandi Capital was founded in 2018, we set out to build a different kind of Investment Firm, one that nurtures a dynamic team with a regional perspective to generate strong returns and develop innovative solutions for our investors. Anandi Capital is the first licensed women-founded and owner-led Alternative Investment Firm in Botswana focused on the African Continent, with particular focus on Southern Africa. The firm specializes in Private equity, Private debt and Advisory. The Firm's mission is to provide long-term patient capital to scalable women owned and/or majority women owned businesses in Southern Africa. We focus on businesses that are currently underserved by larger financial institutions and provides growth capital to business sectors positioned to benefit from economic growth drivers such as agro-processing, consumer goods, technology, education, healthcare, manufacturing, tourism or services linked to mining related industries and financial services. The team based in Gaborone is led by the founder, Carol Jean Harward. It is made up of experienced professionals with backgrounds in investment management, structured finance, entrepreneurship and engineering. We are in the business of supporting disruptive companies with the potential for scalability and growth.
